Ok... lets face it, there is never enough time in our day to do it all.
So why are you trying? To put it another way, why are you trying so hard?
We run around life at breakneck speed doing everything,
but never really stopping for anything. Why?
If you truly know why you are doing so much,
then thats cool... but most people don't.
I think-
We do it because we get pleasure out of pleasing others,
but whats it all for... REALLY?
How many days do you grind away at life and...
before you know it, the week is over and you feel
as though you didn't get anything accomplished?
Yea... me too.
But, then I go back to my original question...
why are you trying so hard?
If you are tired of trying so hard all the time...
it's time to Simplify so you don't have to hardly try.
...and for the record, I am not saying to be lazy,
just be simple and focus only on what truly matters.

What if you are one of those types who cares about many things passionately, has unsatisfiable urge to learn all you can about almost everything you come across, and many different interests and hobbies. Then add a dash (or a large scoop!) of ADHD, and some OCD (perfectionism). Then you might start to think there's just not enough hours in the day!

The things you talk about are my point exactly. When we choose to do it all, then we are always scrambling to react to everything while never being able to focus on one thing completely.
The deal is this- we can't do everything well, every day, all the time... so why not focus on being the best at a few things instead of doing too much to a standard of just good enough.

I actually agree. Maybe the real dilemma is the lack of integrity, and a sense of responsibility that plagues our society combined with an attitude of entitlement, and self involvement with no passion beyond ones self. All of which can make it seem to those who do care about things passionately like they have to do it all, because if they don't no one else will. Many hands make for light work, maybe the thing to spend our time doing well should be inspiring that same passion, and responsability. Ironically enough the major componets of what our nation was found on. Without true passion, you are only doing what you feel obligated to do, not what really "moves" you. That makes all the difference. I do agree with you though.
